Darksouls 3:  I died a few times in the first dark souls never got past it.
Battlefield One:  I really enjoyed Battlefied One's beta and played the mutiplayer for about twenty hours, definally going to be a game I'm going to go back to at some point.

6. Gears of War 4 (12 Votes)
What do I know/ How do I feel:  I didn't get to play gears 4  in 2016 but My future roommate and I fully intend on playing all of the Halos and Gears games in Co-op so this being the finale of that, would be awesome!

5. Titanfall 2 (15 Votes)

What do I know/ How do I feel: I played a ton of the original Titanfall when it fell into battle in 2014 but this time I didn't well...Battlefield One, Mid Terms, Call of Duty. I don't blame the game, I blame EA. I did pick it up on a Xbox sale, so maybe this next semester I'll check it out but with 18 credit hours that might be a dream.

4. Forza Horizon 3 (19 Votes)
What do I know/ How do I feel:  I get to drive my car in real life (pictured above) , I REALLY like Forza Horzion 3. It fully deserves to be on this list it is a phenomenal game and easily the best racing game of the year. I have been a big fan of the mainline Forza series for years but now I'm a bigger Forza Horizon fan.

3. Doom (20 Votes)
What do I know/ How do I feel: DOOM is the Wolfenstein of 2016. It kind of whacked everyone from behind with a shovel. I originally played on Xbox One but it didn't feel right and then I picked it up on Steam and have been having a blast of a time and really enjoying myself. I can definitely see why people love doom!

2. Overwatch  (26 Votes)

What do I know/ How do I feel:  I didn't play it. #Harambe Well anyway back in the early sixteens and even now it's hard for me to justify a sixty dollar game that is only multiplayer. I would be more fine with that but I'm not much of multiplayer guy other than CSGO, Titanfall. My Xbox share buddy picked it up, so who knows. I will give a whirl sometime.

1. Uncharted 4 (59 Votes)

What do I know/ How do I feel:  So I got a PS4 a couple of months ago but it's been at my dad's house while I have been at college. So I haven't really been able to take a crack at it.  I do have all of the Uncharteds for it but I just haven't had the time but everything I have seen on the game looks amazing and at some point. I'm going to have to go into these uncharted waters of Nathan Drake's game franchise. I have started the New Ratchet and Clank though.......!

Did the game you vote for make the top of the list or the bottom? If you want more similar content like us on Facebook!

Why do we play games?... Because they’re Awesome! Well that’s a wrap but, I guess that’s too short...

This question could probably get its own book. Some people play games for the god complex, how rewarding they are on their sheer competitiveness and not even impossible for some these to either overlap or not even apply to certain people. I Think you could argue there is a negative connotation with this question. No one asks why we read books, watch movies and listen to music but, at the same time you could just ask that about anything. I think I play games for three reasons.

One: I think to get my mind off stressful events in my life. I have a lot of these stress events whether it’s every day craziness or something severe like my mother passing. Videogames have always been the solid pillar I could depend on. If you fail a test or have a bad week a videogame won’t judge you, it will subconsciously get your mind off of it. There is a story of a Saints Row 2 developer who received a letter from a fan saying he was going to commit suicide but after playing Saints Rows 2, it got him through that dark valley in his life and really turned his life around. I think that art has deeper impact implications on their fans than whether creators even realize it  and that is why I find that videogames don’t get enough credit in this regard. Sometimes in life people need to feel like the hero in their story and just not another average person in their real life. Danny O’Dwyer (The Best Video Game Journalist) has an internet show called The Point (The show delves super deep in game culture and what games have meant to him and dare I say the world) and there is episode called “Gaming Through Your Stress”. I re-watched this episode for this paper and my eyes got watery that didn’t happen the first time. I think that’s because I originally watched it before my mom past and now this message of having games getting though a tough time applies to me, in a much more meaningful way than I could ever had imagined.

Games aren’t just for kids, games have grown with the kids from the 80s and now as those kids are adults so are videogames their stories are getting so much more complex and in-depth. The average gamer is 31, no they don’t live in their parent’s basement. This gets to my second reason, that games are another world to get immersed into. There are times that I can lose hours to game, without even knowing it. I got the game batman Arkham Asylum for Christmas in 2011. I literally played it for 12 straight hours. I really did feel like I was Batman and I just have never been that invested into a movie or book, like I was in Batman Arkham Asylum.

Games can take you to another culture. I plan on studying abroad in Italy and I think a lot of that has to do with games such as Ryse: Son of Rome; where I was Marius, a leader of a roman legion and we went to Rome back in its glory days and the game was and still pushed the tech back in 2013 and it’s was fantastical recreation of Rome. Another series that I think sparked me interested in Italy was Assassins creed. In that franchise you would play Ezio Auitore you guessed it an assassin in Renaissance Italy and they brought to life Leonardo Davin Chi or Machiavelli. As someone from Rural America this is a true portal to another culture or even another world.

There are games like the Wolf Among Us that succeed this level of immersion in different ways such as storytelling and choices you make. In WAU you play Bigby wolf and he is wolf in the old stories (Little Red Riding Hood, The three little Piggy’s) and you now the sheriff of the refuge fables (all of the characters of the old stories) in New York. The Story is fascinating whether it be the stereotypes facing the wolf after his troubled past or even the redemption story that the games story arch takes. Marty Silva of IGN does one of the best video reviews of WAU and perfectly explains how the game can either send you a rush from fighting Fable towns worst baddies or make you ponder some of the choices you made that might not have been the best. WAU has choices in at set times and these choices affect the rest of game and it’s unique in the fact that this game is episode based and that makes it so if you buy at release, that you won’t see your choices for weeks or even months.  I think All of these games are great and there so many more that I could go into but, again I still got more paper to write.

Rewarding and Variety these again I feel are games strongest attribute.  There are games such as Sim-City that have the stories of people being played out to as a book but the interactivity of a videogame. There are games like Kerbal Space Program where you try to launch little green men in rockets to the moon. There are games that are some of my favorites that would make you think I’m a crazy person such Hotline Miami that is in my top ten favorite games. It’s where you are a serial killer in the 1980s and you where animal masks that give you superpowers and high octane music plays in the background and slaguter dozens of civilians. The game is bloody brilliant, also a great example of music, art, and gameplay coming together for an amazing combination. There is a game currently on steam where all you do is watch a floating mountain and you watch the wildlife live and die and the seasons change. It’s only dollar but, again I think it highlights the sheer amount of variety in games.  The other point I wanted to make is the reward you get in playing them.

There is a game that is called X-Com Enemy Unknown and it’s the greatest game of chess ever made, is the only way I can describe it. I have been addicted to it for the past two weeks. It’s not your typical shooter. A game where you are the commander and put in charge of defending Earth in its darkest hour and you and only you can stop this alien force. You have so many levels to this game but, you have to manage your bases resources. What to research next and the on the battlefield you control your troops that are highly customizable and you probably named them after your family members so you probably don’t want them to die.  This game is hard too. I have a total of over 80+ hours on both Xbox, PC and I still haven’t successfully beaten it. I’m very close to the end and after all of my hours of killing aliens and tactical failures hopefully we can finally overthrow these damn greys! I think this game especially appealing for a lot of reasons. I love the customization of it and how it really makes you think about your strategic choices you make. The countries funding X-Com project can also pull out and cause you to lose funding and that means you can eventually start to lose countries and you have to start making tough choices on which countries to help and in some instances weigh the risk losing a country. X-Com has something I like to call good stress where instead of being stressed about your usual life you are now stressed by X-Com aliens coming to your base and wrecking your hours of work. It’s good to have this good stress replace get your mind of your bad stress. This is similar to Danny O’Dwyer doing is videogame tasks instead of his real life ones.

Did I answer the question? I don’t think so, I don’t think it’s question that can be answered by one person or even several sources. I think I will keep playing videogames and I’ll keep writing about them, have a nice week Don.

The Xbox Scropio is a MONSTER

Put price and weird Microsoft polices aside. The fact that the frame rate for all games are going to be the same on Xbox One and now Scorpio. I think the real thing to take out of this is just the grand power of these machines. How do you tell, Belly flops? nope Teraflops!

Here is a chart comparing my PC named thor vs neo (rumored) vs ps4 VS NEO vs current Xbox one

my PC has 3.2 Teraflops (GTX 770)

Thor can play games at  4k. Battlefield 4 on medium and Max Payne 3 on Ultra just fine. So your going to have a console with almost twice the power and is going to have a lot more optimization. When I see people complaining that it won't be able do Native 4k or this isn't a real upgrade you're high.  This new Xbox is a best and best than most PCS. I have another PC with two GTX 980TIS, I call it Thanos but I could not get an Accurate Teraflop number for an SLI configuration but one 980TI has 5.83 Teraflops now the 980TI is one of the best cards out there and the New Xbox still beats it. Face facts Xbox One Scorpio is a monster of a Console.

28 Xbox predictions for E3 2016

E3 is one week  away and it's time for predictions.

The How Likely Scale
Guaranteed
probaly
50/50
Not Likely
Nope

1. A slim Xbox One will be announced
I already have two Xbox Ones, so their going to have to blow my mind for me to get a slim but I'm still excited for a slim.  We all know the current Xbox One desperately needs this slim down.So I would bet money the  Xbox One is going to lose some weight.
How Certain: Guaranteed

2. Halo Wars 2 gameplay debut and dated

I love base building RTS'S of the olden days such as Command & Conquer. Halo Wars for being an RTS worked very well on Console. So naturally I was very excited when a Sequel was announced for a Side franchise what I thought was dead.
How Certain: Guaranteed

3.  Forza Horizon 3 announced and
Forza Horzion was my introduction to  Forza and ever since than I have been hooked. I like Forza Horzion more than main line Forzas. I can't wait for Forza Horzion 3 this Fall and this makes a lot of sense compared to their release schedules in the past.

How Certain: Guaranteed

4. Halo coming to PC (project Helix)

If Microsoft is serious about appealing to PC gamers they need to do two things. Windows Store needs to be completely revamped and Halo MCC or Halo 5 needs to come to PC. This will gets an immediate rush of people from PC side to play Windows Store games and they will sell a ton of PC Halo.
 How Certain: Not Likely

5. Halo 6 Teaser Trailer
I liked Halo 5 when it came out. The Multiplayer was good but the story was confusing and muddled to say at least. It's especially weird because a lot of people felt the oppositely about Halo 4 ( Story good, Multiplayer bad). I loved Halo 4 it was amazing and it made me fascinated with the Master Chief's story and 5 was bummer. I feel that Halo 6 should end the saga of Cheif's story and maybe give 343 Industries some room to do something different with Halo Universe maybe another  reach type of game.

How Certain:probably

6.  New I.P/ Third Party Exclusive
Microsoft for the past couple of years has been really good with surprising us with new games or third party exclusives. Crackdown, Ryse and  Tomb Raider. I don't know what it will be this year but my bets are over the place.

How Certain:  probably

7. Xbox Scorpio
Good idea or a bad idea only time will tell. I personally scratch my head but at the same time I get it to. If the Neo exists ( as time goes on it seems more apparent it does) It would be very bad to have this beefed up monster compared to a launch Xbox One but you got to worry about splitting the fan base, different versions of  games. This could get very messy.

How Certain: 50/50

8. Sea of Thieves and Cuphead released during the show
I feel that both games are going to be only digital and home runs critically and  financially .It would be a huge surprise to banzai everybody with them , with that said both of these games are day one purchases for me.
How Certain: 50/50

9. Gears 4 Trailer
I am personally not excited for Gears 4, I've always been more of a Halo and Fable guy opposed to Gears but hey gears 4 is a new jumping on point  for noob such as myself, s so let the best man chainsaw another to his doom!

 How Certain: Guaranteed

10. Xbox Stream Sticks

meh, don't care, WHY WOULD DO YOU DELUTE MY ACHIEVEMENTS EVEN MORE!

 How Certain: 50/50

11. A QB reminder trailer
Do you focus on the Future or the past or do you bend time? Either way Quantum Break came out not that long ago and  I bet in someway or another Microsoft is going to remind that hey this super sweet game that still exists. I would imagine a Trailer for DLC or maybe even tease for a sequel. I don't know it's E3 anything can happen!

How Certain: probably

12. State of Decay's dev announces a new game
I loved State of Decay and I'm really ecstatic to see what these guys make. I think they might be the first studio to make a MMO zombie game that doesn't suck but they did make that weird mobile Pokemon game so no one knows what Undead labs will do for there next game.

How Certain: probably
13. ID @ Xbox montage trailer
Like come on, You know there going to do it.
How Certain: Guaranteed
14.  Scale bound trailer and dated

Scalebound looks amazing and it doesn't get better than Platinum games. Bayonetta was awesome and so was Vanquish so I'm just gonna keep playing Skyrim while I'm wait for Scalebound.
 How Certain: Guaranteed

15.Recore shows first gameplay no date

This game has my curiosity but now it has my attention. With one week to go, I can already imagine a stellar demo to blow my mind. This could be the next huge Xbox game and I'm already digging their style so will have to see.

 How Certain: Guaranteed

16. Crackdown (3)  trailer and dated
AGENT!  You need to play Crackdown 1 before reading the rest of this. Waiting....  Waiting now that totally stocked for Crackdown 3 get hyped! this going to best the Xbox Exclusive for 2016/2017 mic drop. I can't wait to be Robo cop for the secondish time.
How Certain: Guaranteed

17. Xbox One Anniversary Update releases

This would be easy win and it's been an development for a while so dropping this during E3 makes a lot of sense.
How Certain: Guaranteed

18. Halo Online Comes to Xbox One
You can never get enough Halo and people obviously want this Soviet Russian Halo because even I know people who have bootlegged this. I think at least it would be an interesting addition to the halo line up and it give people something to do while waiting for Halo 6.
How Certain: Not Likely
19. Holo lens demo

I think they probably do this but if their is no big updates on tech or a release date I could see them not doing another Holo Lens demo but will see.
How Certain: 50/50
20. Oculus partnership for Xbox Scorpio

I do see merit in this. The Rift is better than PS VR and this would give Microsoft a huge advantage when it comes to Virtual Reality, especially if Xbox Scorpio is more powerful than  the Playstation Neo.
How Certain:50/50

 21. Gigantic Gets a Trailer and is released during the show
I have heard a mixed bag of news on this game some say it changed publisher, layoffs and had a delayed beta. I put it on list because I still got a feeling that it will show up this year. It's not my thing but I still wish you luck if you're looking forward to it.

 How Certain: probably
 22. A slew of Backwards compatible games announced
People keep asking for like five super specific games like Red Dead, Skyrim and MW2...... So This again would be a super easy win and still remind people that Microsoft does that thing that Sony charges you for.

How Certain: Guaranteed

 Wildcard Predictions

23. Fable 4 Teaser
No one would expect this right? I was devastated when Lionhead was shut down. I do know one thing definitively about Fable and that is that it needs to be made by a British Studio and with the recent comeback of Rare, I think there is a glimmer of hope for Fable to start another journey.
 How Certain:Not Likely

24. Banjo 3 Teaser

I can dream can't I but hey rare is on a comeback?
How Certain: not Likely

25. Kinect will be built into Xbox Scorpio
Don't kill me but I really like the voice commands on the Xbox One. So if there going to all this trouble to make a super Xbox why not throw in a Built in Kinect?

 How Certain:Not Likely
26. Steam and Xbox integration
A website popped up a couple of months ago it was something to the affect Xbox.Steampower or something like that but there supposedly a lot of work being done to it. I could see this as maybe another way to lure PC gamers to Xbox?
How Certain:Not Likely
27. Ryse 2 or Dead Rising 4 announcement

I think I would want a Ryse 2 more than a Dead Rising 4 but I think Dead Rising 3 went over well and it was my first game I beat on  Xbox One and really did enjoy it  but I got engrossed in the story of Ryse.  I feel Ryse 2 could be the game what Ryse 1 was suppose to be just improve the gameplay and boom it goes from an 6-7 out 10 to a 8-9 out of 10.
DR4 How Certain: probably
Ryse 2 How Certain: not likely

28. Golden Eye Remaster
I have heard inkling here and there and this remaster, I think would be big enough to even be a killer app just because sheer amount of prestige and nostalgia tied to golden eye.
How Certain: Not Likely
